Major General (ret) Aharon Doron

Born in 1922 in Germany, Maj. General Aharon Doron escaped from the Nazis to Israel and started his military career as a Haganah instructor. He served in the IDF from 1948-1965 as battalion Commander of the "Givati" and the "Golani" Brigades, serving at the Sinai campaign. He became head of Manpower Personnel Branch, IDF Headquarters with rank of Major General. He later became Vice president of Tel Aviv University and Director of Beth Hatfusoth, the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora.
