Somewhere amongst the ruins of the past dwellers of Israel, a story comes to light, the story of our people, those who lived in Israel for thousands of years before they were finally exiled.

As we walk through the ruins we can envision the hustle and bustle of life, the humming of prayers, the echo of battles won and battles lost.

In the footprints of our ancestors we lay our own footsteps and they match. We are one, one with them, the stones and the pottery.

The Dead Sea Scrolls greet every one of us, whispering “shalom, welcome back …this year in Jerusalem………”
