This year Israel’s birthday falls on Iyar the 3rd which is May the 8th, 2008.

60 years. What is 60 years for a country? But for Israel the sweat is mixed with magic. When you are there you feel with visceral certainty that Israel is beyond words. Perhaps there aren’t enough words.

Join us in the fray of hope for SHALOM for peace and prosperity, for health and happiness for the nation and its people who have always desired peace, had intense hope for it, an ancient hope spanning more than two thousand years.

In gratitude we humbly bow our heads to the previous generations who made Israel possible. We thank those, who dare the insecurities, who define their lives not by the way others wish to see them but by their own values. Disappointments, and problems not withstanding, the Israelis, with the help of the world Jewish community turned a non existent entity into a most advanced and sophisticated country.

Before the celebrations begin let’s remember the ones who paid the ultimate sacrifice. To the injured and the bereaved; Israel and the Jewish world salutes you.
